SealX has been going in New Zealand for over 15 years. Some of these reviews go back to our founder Tom's time — we've kept them, because the product hasn't changed.
"Luke has been using SealX for around 15 years now. He first started working with it while polishing motorhomes and caravans alongside the original distributors of SealX in NZ, and for the past 10 years we’ve continued using it on our commercial charter sailing catamarans at Barefoot Sailing Adventures.
SealX is always first on our annual maintenance list — no questions asked. We simply haven’t looked back (although we have done some A/B testing just to be sure).
We continued using it because of its excellent performance in a demanding marine environment and high passenger use throughout the charter season. Between constant UV exposure, salt, weather and commercial use, the protection and finish have consistently held up extremely well.
SealX is easy to work with. Preparation and application are key, and when done thoroughly the results speak for themselves. We’ve also found it easy to maintain and clean after application.
We definitely noticed a difference in both appearance and long-term protection compared to other products we’ve used over previous years of boating.

"We have chosen SealX UV protection again. This time to prepare our Jayco caravan for an extended tour. Previous applications on our cars and boat proved the durability of the coating. SealX sealant has stopped the UV degredation, also on fibre glass. Shiny surfaces look nice and make especially the roof easy to wash.

"I have a carbon fibre bicycle and it is well-known that carbon fibre and UV rays are not good friends. As we will be away for an indeterminate amount of time in our caravan with our bikes, I applied SealX surface coating to my bike. Apart from looking fantastic, the Seal X will provide protection against the harmful UV rays on a bike which is going to be out in the sun day after day for many months.

"We first came across Seal X about 18 years ago, when Tom recommended that we have this applied to our fibreglass boat. We were so impressed with the results that we then had it applied to both our vehicles. Due to the fact that both the boat and vehicles were in such good nick when we sold them, many years later, we have continued to have it applied to every vehicle we have bought since then.
When we bought our Jayco caravan about 2 1/2 years ago, the first thing we did is we took it to Tom to have Seal X applied to the top and sides. Our caravan still looks as good as it did on the day we bought it. The coating also makes it very easy to clean with the special wash concentrate which you get when you have the vehicle coated.
