My van/yacht/aircraft was protected with SealX. How do I look after it ?
- SealX is designed to give you long term protection against UV, dirt and grime.
- For a standard wash, simply use water from a hose. If you are too shy on the water usage, you possibly turn your washing into a fine sand paper. Especially the decals and Plexiglas windows will suffer from this mal practice and come away with light scratches. Use plenty of water if you can !
- For a more thorough wash, use SealX Wash Concentrate. It mixes 1part concentrate to 300parts of water. A liter is most likely going to last a house proud camper well over a year. Dip your washing brush into a bucket of water which had a screw cap full of concentrate mixed into it.
- To clean off heavy soot, flies, oil or diesel spillage, use SealX Drywash or SealX Primer. Primer and Drywash does NOT damage the coating.
- To improve the looks of a scratched/milky look on decals, windows, plastics and head lights, use “Rejex” just like you would have used car polish. In the galley and the showers treat plastics, glass and the inside of Plexiglass windows with Rejex to make them repel cooking fat, grime and soap scum.
- To have the coating of the van inspected and possibly topped up, once a year, keeps your van in pristine condition, easy to wash and ensures that you will get top dollar for it the day you trade up to a new one ! It also helps to rescue the paint when disaster strikes. Paint overspray, break fluid, tar, diesel contamination and chemicals may still get onto your van, but they will be so much easier to be removed !
What NOT to do:
To clean SealX coated surfaces DO NOT use anything acidic or very strong detergent like Dishwashing liquid, Truck wash,C19, Wet-and-Forget or lemon based cleaners. They will most likely damage the SealX coating and lessen the UV protection.
