We are Andy and Heather and the proud new owners of Total Auto Care Solutions 2023 trading as Taupo Auto Spa, “Drive in with grime and out with shine “

Andy has a varied background with 5 years in the NZ Territorial Army; 27 years of service in the NZ Police, and most recently 2.5 years working in the NZ Drug Detection Industry.  This all required, hard work, discipline, attention to detail and great customer service. Andy will be the Braun of the business, doing the doing and making sure every customer leaves with a smile on their face.

Heather is part owner in a local Bookkeeping/Accounting business servicing clients throughout the North Island.  She is the financial controller, budgeting and forecasting and ensuring that the workshop is supplied with all the necessary items including coffee and Coke! She will also be hands on to ensure we meet any deadlines.

We are committed, honest and reliable and can be trusted to care for your hard-earned asset.  We just want happy customers.

We have always taken pride in the vehicles we have owned.

Over the years we have travelled and pushed ourselves in remote regions in Nepal and India at high altitudes and in testing conditions.  After COVID we decided to relax a little more and enjoy what NZ has to offer. Freedom and Family are our passion.

We love our campervan life and recognise the investment that you make in owning a camper or caravan.  Our first little Toyota Hiace had suffered, stuck under trees in Mangere as lock downs kept the tourists away. We called that van Adam (after Adam and the Ants) ….The van was green with Lichen and it took weeks to get all the ants out. The hood lining was greasy and took some cleaning. Eventually it was our first home away from home, but just a little too small for us and our 4-legged friend.

We traded that and bought an amazing Mercedes Sprinter 7m which we really enjoyed, and once again spent the time to maintain and restore it. This year we spoilt ourselves with a near new Kea Breeze which is just awesome.

Our new van is a huge investment and we intend for this to be our forever van. We were really excited when we saw the write up in the NZMCA magazine regarding SealX as we recognised that it needed protection. This was definitely a motivational factor in us purchasing our new business. Using SealX products, will be a game changer for our clients and we can’t wait to apply the SealX products to our customers vehicles. Not only will it protect their investment, but it will allow for more time on enjoyment and less time on maintenance.
